Reporting to the Director of Rail, the Estimating Manager will ensure accurate and competitive cost estimates for new projects within the designated business sector. Collaboration with project management and engineering teams is essential to ensure comprehensive and precise costing.
This role offers hybrid working, requiring occasional presence at our Warwick Head Office.
Responsibilities:
* Support the production and submission of accurate, comprehensive estimates efficiently.
* Manage the estimating process at bid, project, or scheme level.
* Challenge cost estimates produced by SMEs in Delivery and Engineering.
* Review project specifications, drawings, and documentation to prepare detailed cost estimates.
* Maximize the use of standard processes and tools to minimize costs and response times.
* Prepare and present detailed cost breakdowns and pricing proposals.
* Collaborate with project managers and engineers on project plans and schedules.
* Attend pre-bid meetings, site visits, and gather necessary information.
Candidate Profile:
