About the Practice
Mill House Veterinary Surgery and Hospital, part of IVC Evidensia, is a small animal 1st opinion and referral hospital with advanced diagnostic and surgical capabilities.
Role Overview
We are looking for a Veterinary Surgeon to provide general clinical veterinary practice, perform surgeries and support a varied caseload in a busy first‑opinion setting.
Responsibilities
* Deliver client‑focused clinical veterinary care.
* Consult patients and manage inpatient, consulting and theatre duties.
* Perform soft tissue, orthopedic and ophthalmology surgeries, as well as assist in internal medicine, radiology, dermatology and acupuncture cases.
* Utilise advanced equipment, including CT, laparoscopy, digital X‑ray, digital dental X‑ray, and other diagnostic imaging technologies.
* Participate in referrals and maintain high standards of patient care.
* Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of nurses and support staff.
Qualifications
* Minimum 2 years of veterinary experience.
* Certificates in ECC, soft tissue, and ophthalmology are welcomed but not essential.
* Strong client‑facing skills and a passion for veterinary medicine.
Work‑Life Balance
Typical day‑time shifts involve half a day of consultation and half a day of theatre. Rota is flexible, with full‑time (38 hours per week) and part‑time options available. The rota is tailored to the candidate’s preferred working times.
