A leading organisation in Leicestershire is seeking a Commercial Finance Business Partner to join their team, offering an exciting blend of commercial finance partnering and mergers & acquisitions (M&A) support. You will be at the heart of financial planning and analysis, supporting both day-to-day business partnering and high-impact M&A activities. This is a hybrid role (3 days on site). What you'll do: Support strategic planning processes by providing insightful financial analysis that contributes directly to the organisation's five-year growth plan. Collaborate closely with the CFO, Chief Client Officer, investors, and other members of the C-Suite to deliver robust financial modelling and performance reporting. Assist with pre-deal analysis for potential acquisitions by reviewing vendor data, stress-testing assumptions, and assessing strategic fit without being responsible for deal origination. Prepare detailed cashflow models and balance sheet analyses that inform key decision-making across both business-as-usual operations and M&A activity. Provide critical support during post-merger integration phases by preparing data for CRM system ingestion and working alongside wider integration stakeholders. Deliver analytical solutions for complex 'big data' challenges that arise from both commercial finance partnering and M&A support functions. What you bring: You are a fully qualified accountant with strong technical grounding in FP&A principles including balance sheet management, profit & loss understanding, cashflow modelling, and advanced financial modelling capabilities. You have ideally accumulated 3-4 years' experience post-graduation with at least two years spent in a business partnering or FP&A-type role where you demonstrated adaptability across multiple functions. Your background is more commercially focused rather than exclusively audit-based; you bring practical experience flexing between BAU finance tasks and supporting M&A activities. You possess excellent interpersonal skills that enable you to collaborate effectively with colleagues at all levels including CFOs, C-Suite executives, investors, and external advisors. You are pragmatic in your approach-curious about new challenges yet able to quickly grasp complex concepts and you integrate well within existing teams thanks to your positive attitude. You have proven experience preparing data for system integrations (such as CRM platforms) during post-merger phases or similar transformation projects. On offer is a salary of circa £65,000 per annum, plus a strong benefits package.
