Overview
We are looking for a full time Senior Staff Nurse to work on Buckley Ward at Woodview Unit. This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated, suitably qualified, experienced and forward thinking individual to join the teams at Pendleview.
Responsibilities
* Provide nurse leadership within the multidisciplinary team and ensure the effective assessment formulation planning, monitoring of care given to inpatient service users.
* Provide leadership to oversee and ensure all contacts with service users are recorded promptly and accurately and are of a high standard.
* Provision of information and participate as requested, to assist service development and Clinical Governance requirements e.g. surveys, audits etc.
* Lead improvements in care through the use of research, audits and enquiry as required.
Qualifications and Skills
* Proven clinical skills with excellent communication skills.
* Good knowledge and understanding of adult mental health and the needs of individuals.
* Working knowledge of the care programme approach, NICE guidance and enhanced risk assessment.
* Ability to explore issues relating to the impact of health and social needs on mental health and well-being.
Work Environment
Inpatient wards/units are designed to meet the acute holistic needs of service users/patients and carers, in a recovery focussed environment. This working environment supports staff development and wellbeing. The post holder will support staff in the assessment, planning and provision of care in line with national and local nursing and health and safety policy. The post holder will exercise professional accountability and responsibility, demonstrating use of professional skills, knowledge and expertise in the provision of high quality care. There is an expectation that the post holder will utilise research, audit and enquiry to lead improvements in care.
