Overview
Join us at Barclays as an ETL Data Modeller, where you’ll design, build, and maintain systems that collect, store, process, and analyse data – including data pipelines, data warehouses, and data lakes – ensuring that all information is accurate, accessible, and secure.
Location: Glasgow.
Responsibilities
* Build and maintenance of data architectures pipelines that enable the transfer and processing of durable, complete and consistent data.
* Design and implementation of data warehoused and data lakes that manage the appropriate data volumes and velocity and adhere to the required security measures.
* Development of processing and analysis algorithms fit for the intended data complexity and volumes.
* Collaboration with data scientists to build and deploy machine learning models.
Required Experience and Skills
Experience and skills to be successful in this role include:
* Proficiency in Angular.
* Strong knowledge of SQL.
* Experience with Python for scripting and automation.
* Ab Initio – experience with data integration and ETL processes.
* Tableau – ability to create and manage dashboards and visualisations.
* AWS – familiarity with cloud services and deployment.
* Strong written and verbal communication – clear and effective stakeholder engagement.
