Vanderlande, a global leader in logistics automation for airports, warehouses, and parcel handling, is seeking an accomplished Service Manager – Operations & Maintenance to join its service leadership team. This pivotal role offers the opportunity to shape operational strategy, drive service excellence, and contribute to long-term customer partnerships with industry leaders such as Heathrow. The Service Manager will play a senior leadership role within Vanderlande’s Service division, accountable for delivering operational confidence, customer value expansion, and service transformation. Acting as a trusted partner to both internal and external stakeholders, the successful candidate will provide strategic and tactical leadership while ensuring operational excellence across engineering and maintenance teams. Key responsibilities include: Leading and inspiring multi-disciplinary technical teams, fostering a high-performance and accountable culture. Building senior-level, trust-based relationships with customers and stakeholders. Driving workforce planning, talent development, and succession management across operational teams. Owning contract profitability by identifying opportunities for efficiency, service improvements, and margin growth. Implementing service strategy to enhance safety, performance, communication, and engagement. Overseeing operational readiness, incident management, and continuous improvement initiatives. Contributing to business planning, service model innovation, and early project engagement to support contract growth. About You The ideal candidate will bring proven expertise in operational leadership within a complex, customer-centric environment, supported by a strong technical understanding of material handling systems.
