Engineering Quality & Safety Assurance Engineer £50,844 - £55,884 Working as part of the Compliance team and supporting the Engineering Quality and Safety Assurance Manager. The incumbent will support the implementation and management of all aspects relating to Quality and Safety Management System functions across the Fleet Engineering Departments, including the CAA and MAA Part 145 and Part CAMO requirements. The role includes supporting the maintenance of regulatory approvals, active participation in compliance monitoring oversight, internal and external audits, Part 145 engineer authorisations, risk assessments, hazard analysis and supporting improvement action. This will include interfacing with other focal points for Quality and Safety across ATrS. Participate in external MAA Part 145 audits as required by the MAA audit programme. Ensure the effective implementation and maintenance of the ATrS Part 145 and Part CAMO Quality Assurance processes to fulfil the obligations of UK National Requirements. Facilitate efficient internal processes for the timely issuance and renewal of Engineers’ Licences and Authorisations Plan and conduct Licenced Aircraft Engineers B1 / B2 / A Authorisation boards to assess Engineers competence to hold ATrS company Authorisations to issue certificates of release to service. Conduct Safety and Quality Assurance audits across the Fleet Engineering Department and other departments as required. This includes audit planning, execution, reporting, and follow-up using the AQD system. Perform out of hours and off site audits to ensure regulatory compliance with contractor and subcontractor regulatory requirements Support the AQD quality and safety database, ensuring timely action by responsible managers, monitoring trends, and communicating outcomes appropriately. Background in Quality Assurance Formal aeronautical maintenance training. Strong auditing skills and report writing capabilities. In-depth knowledge of CAA regulatory frameworks. Experience in an approved organisation with relevant responsibilities. Desirable: UK CAA Licence or postgraduate technical qualification. ISO 9001 Lead Auditor qualification Experience with A330 maintenance and AQD systems. Familiarity with MEDA methodology and military aviation. Proficiency in Microsoft Office
