Reporting structure:

This position reports to the Managing Director.

The key stakeholders are: General Manager, Head of Operations & Head of FM.


Job Overview:

The L&D Training Manager position is a critical role for the success of development, of the operational teams.

The successful candidate will need to show initiative and be a self-starter and have excellent communication skills as well as a professional outlook.

The L&D Training Manager will be heavily involved in the mobilisation of new schemes, as the trainer of the Operational management of the completed site.

The Training Manager will be responsible for all the systems training and supporting the onboarding of new members of the operational team.

Developing and Leading a Corporate induction program for all levels of Lumis Operations.


About the role

Onboarding:

* Liaise with Department Heads and confirm ongoing induction dates
* Ensure pre joining welcome letter is sent with planned induction and training dates
* Ensure buddies is assigned to new starters
* Send out Welcome emails on day 1 with all, login details and other training requirements
* Update the New Starter tracker
* Load on training systems
* Continue to review and improve on induction delivery
* Book and spend one full day with new manager on site post induction going over Operations and reviewing induction implementing procedures on site


Training and Development Plans

* Develop a key competence matrix for all positions
* Work with line managers to complete a full staff competence review
* Identify training and development areas for all positions
* Identify key training modules for all roles
* Develop system for annual training modules, using Safety Culture. H&S, Asbestos Training, anti-bribery, DSE, company policies, company handbook etc.


System training

* Book and carry out all system training for new starters with PMS
* Book and carry out refresher training for site teams as needed
* Training to include is Facilities Manager, Health & Safety modules


PMS

* Support New site setup
* Facilities Manager setup
* Site Build & Tenancy Documents
* Finance Systems integrations


Configuration

* Support System configuration
* Support System configuration UAT sign off
* Testing and review for ongoing system functionality release
* Training document creation –
* New feature rollout training –
* Trouble shooting and assisting site teams on new user functions –


Sales training

* Work with Marketing Team and Develop annual Sales training program
* Carry out Sales and Communication Training


Graduate Program

* Develop a Graduate program for the Operating business
* Mentor and guide new graduates through the program supporting line managers


About you

* Experience with students or within the University Sector preferred but not essential
* Experience of working within the Hospitality sector preferred
* Experience of working to budgets and targets
* Experience in producing weekly and monthly KPI reports
* Excellent communication skills displaying sensitivities to and understanding residents needs
* Excellent leadership and management skills
* Self-motivated and results driven
* Experienced in working with Property Management Systems
* Good organisational skills
* Experienced in delivering training and public speaking
* Good level of computer literacy using Microsoft 365
* Must be pro-active and able to use initiative
* Multilingual
