This role requires someone who can hit the ground running and provide immediate support. This assignment is ideal for an experienced interim who is comfortable stepping into a high-profile role and making an immediate impact. The Role: Lead and manage the Democratic Services function Quickly pick up and progress an ongoing restructure Engage, motivate, and manage the wider team Lead and oversee Full Council meetings, ensuring strong governance and statutory compliance Act as a key adviser to Members and senior officers The Ideal Candidate: Significant senior-level experience within Democratic Services in a local authority setting Proven track record of operating effectively in complex, political environments Confident, resilient, and able to deliver at pace Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills Working Arrangements: Hybrid, with a minimum of 2-3 days per week in the office We encourage interested applicants to apply immediately to be considered for shortlisting.
