Job Summary
The Finance Officer plays a crucial role in managing the financial operations of the organisation. This position involves overseeing financial transactions, maintaining accurate financial records, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills and a solid understanding of accounting principles, as well as proficiency in Xero accounting software.
Duties
Book keeping
Raising sales invoices to customers
Ensuring CIS is properly accounted for
Posting remittances
Providing regular reports to the directors including aged debtors
Dealing and resolving customer queries and providing documentation after liaising with internal team members
Processing supplier invoices
Making payments to supplier
Dealing with queries on invoices with suppliers
Ensuring Sales and purchase ledgers are kept up to date
Reconciling bank accounts
Managing expenses
Liaison with external accountants (technical support is provided by them)
Recording VAT on sales and purchases/payments
Credit Control
Monitoring customer credit limits and ensuring they are not exceeded
Keeping invoices paid up to date
Chasing by e-mail and telephone overdue invoices
Recording accurately correspondence and communication with customers
Understanding rights and calculating interest on overdue invoices
Experience of using Money claim on line
