We're partnering with one of the UK's leading system integrators to recruit a Senior Tender Engineer specialising in Protection & Control systems within the transmission and distribution sector.
Role Overview:
You'll be joining a technical team driving critical infrastructure projects across energy, water, and renewables sectors. Working remotely, you'll architect technical solutions while bridging the gap between sales teams and technical delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Develop detailed P&C system architectures for major infrastructure projects
2. Create comprehensive technical proposals and tender responses
3. Complete pre-qualification documentation and cost estimates
4. Conduct site surveys at transmission and distribution facilities
5. Manage relationships with technology providers and stakeholders
6. Support commercial teams with technical expertise
Required Skills & Experience:
1. 5+ years' hands-on Protection & Control engineering experience
2. In-depth knowledge of transmission and distribution standards
3. Proven track record in technical proposal development
4. Strong commercial awareness and procurement experience
5. Ability to work autonomously and manage multiple projects
Technical Environment:
* Protection relay systems
* SCADA and control systems
* IEC 61850 protocols
* Network architectures
* Substation automation systems
