Learning Support Assistant Full time (Temporary to Permanent) Rotherham £415 - £450 Per Week (Salary is depending on experience and/or qualifications) Contract Dates : 13 th May 2024 The School and Role Vision for education is seeking a Learning Support Assistant to work with pupils between the ages of 3 – 19 years old within an Ofsted rated ‘Excellent’ SEND school based in Rotherham. The role requires a passionate, caring, and enthusiastic individual to support vulnerable young learners who are not in full time mainstream education. The successful applicant will have had previous experience in dealing with Challenging Behaviours and Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs, ADHD and Emotional Behavioural Difficulties, MLD and ASC. This can be a very rewarding role for somebody who wants to make a positive impact on a young person’s life. You would work along side the class teacher with day-to-day actives working within a group setting as well as on a 1:1 basis with student learners. Requirements The desired Learning Support Assistant will have: Experience of working with pupils with SEND. Experience of supporting vulnerable children or adults. Be able to adapt to challenging situations that can arise. An ability to work as part of a team. Experience working with challenging Behaviours.
