About you
* Prior experience working as a Claims Handler, ideally within an insurance broker or insurer setting
* Solid understanding of the full claims lifecycle and core insurance principles
* Excellent organisational ability with strong attention to detail and accuracy
* Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to build rapport with clients and stakeholders
* Confident using Microsoft Office; familiarity with systems such as Acturis or Open GI is beneficial
* Customer-focused mindset with a professional and proactive approach to resolving queries
* Able to successfully complete all pre-employment screening, including criminal and credit checks
What you'll do
* Handle a diverse caseload including motor, home, commercial, liability, and personal injury claims
* Manage claims from first notification through to final settlement, coordinating with insurers, clients, and loss adjusters
* Advise customers on policy cover, claims procedures, and loss prevention where appropriate
* Work closely with both internal departments and external partners to ensure timely claims resolution
* Recognise and elevate complex, sensitive, or high-value claims when required
* Maintain compliance with FCA requirements, company procedures, and industry best practice
* Assist with reporting requirements and manage customer enquiries in a professional manner
