Acorn by Synergie is searching for an HR Advisor to join a fast‑paced manufacturing business based in Runcorn, Cheshire on an 8‑month fixed‑term contract. This role reports to the HR Manager and is responsible for providing proactive, hands‑on HR support across the business, partnering with managers on employee relations, recruitment, performance management, and people‑focused initiatives.
Responsibilities
* Support management of employee absence cases, working closely with managers to promote attendance and wellbeing initiatives.
* Coordinate the full recruitment lifecycle, including approvals, advertising, interviewing, onboarding, and contract administration.
* Provide guidance to line managers on a range of employee relations matters, including performance, conduct, and workplace concerns.
* Contribute to talent development activities, including appraisal processes and workforce planning initiatives.
* Assist with the review and implementation of HR policies, procedures and best practice initiatives.
* Maintain HR systems and employee documentation, producing reports and people data insights when required.
* Facilitate training and onboarding activities to support leadership capability and employee integration.
* Promote employee engagement and support wider culture and wellbeing initiatives across the business.
Qualifications
* Previous experience in a similar HR role within the manufacturing sector.
* Up‑to‑date knowledge of employment law.
* A CIPD qualification or HR degree is advantageous.
* Strong attention to detail and confident IT skills across Microsoft Office.
