Artemis Human Capital are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Accountant to support a busy Finance team. Based in Cookstown, this role will contribute to key financial operations across reporting, compliance and process improvement. It offers a valuable opportunity to be part of a growing and dynamic business with cross-functional exposure.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist in preparing monthly management accounts, budgeting, and forecasting
* Manage cashflow monitoring, supplier payments, and employee expense processes
* Support VAT, Intrastat, EC Sales, and year-end compliance across UK and ROI
* Maintain the Fixed Asset Register and manage intercompany transactions
* Provide operational support across finance functions and participate in improvement projects
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
* Part-qualified (CIMA, ACCA, ACA or equivalent) with strong technical knowledge
* Excellent Excel and IT skills; experience with ERP systems (e.g. Navision) desirable
* Highly organised, able to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines
* A proactive and ethical approach with a focus on continuous improvement
