Role
We are looking for a personal assistant to provide support to a baby girl diagnosed with Edwards Syndrome. Although this 15‑month‑old child is outperforming expectations, her developmental and physical delays make her act like a 3‑month‑old. The role involves personal care, cuddles, playing on the floor and in her baby wheelchair, and support for feeding and administering oral medication. The assistant will also engage in directed play that incorporates cuddles, baby massage, songs, physiotherapy exercises and developmental play, with support from the mother.
Duties and Responsibilities
* Light personal care
* Help with feeding and administering medication
* Playing and incorporating light physiotherapy
* Help with light housework, errands, shopping, and take baby out for walks and activities
Qualifications
* Enhanced check through PVG (Protecting Vulnerable Groups)
* Previous experience with similar needs is beneficial
