Job Summary
As a Privacy Operation Specialist you will be responsible for assisting the 1st Line of Defence Privacy Team in ensuring the business is compliant with its obligations under GDPR. You will be required to work with the business to implement Data Privacy Policy and embed best practice privacy principles and behaviour into business operations. You will liaise with multiple business areas to help review and identify privacy related issues by following and improving the appropriate processes, procedures and guidelines.
Job responsibilities:
1. Response and completion of Individual Rights Requests and other privacy related queries
2. Ensure accurate, meaningful and timely updates of privacy request and queries.
3. Assisting 1st Line of Defence Privacy in improving privacy processes and efficiency by implementing data protection reviews and assessment.
4. Analysis of privacy data to provide meaningful insights relating to emerging trends and root cause analysis and the presentation of privacy operation metrics and updates to key stakeholders in Line Of Business and wider firmwide meetings.
5. Provide ongoing privacy training and awareness and develop and maintain working relationships with key stakeholders and businesses within various areas within the Firm, such as Global Data Risk Management, Privacy Legal, Privacy Compliance
6. Conduct thematic analysis to identify process and control gaps – partnering with key stakeholders, leadership and project management to drive stronger customer data protections outcomes
7. Ensure timely escalation of key risks and issues to management / relevant stakeholders and maintain strong controls environment by aiding in daily, weekly, and monthly reconciliations and following documented procedures

8. Highly developed analytical skills and excellent attention to detail with the ability to communicate ideas effectively
9. Demonstrated ability to use sound judgment to make decisions and strong understanding of the business to anticipate Line Of Business needs and effectively exceed them

Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills:
13. PC skills with emphasis on the Microsoft Office Suite of products including Excel and Power Point

16. Knowledge of current and emerging privacy laws, both domestic and globally is preferred
