We are now seeking a talented and motivated Head of Finance to strengthen our finance team and play a key role in shaping the company's financial future.
Position Overview
This is a hands-on role where you'll take ownership of management reporting, budgeting, and financial planning. You'll work closely with departmental heads to build budgets, lead on forecasting, and support key financial projects that drive growth.
The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to communicate financial insights clearly to both finance and non-finance colleagues. Experience with Sage 50 or QuickBooks is highly desirable.
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare monthly management accounts, financial statements, and insightful performance reports.
* Lead the annual budgeting process and produce rolling forecasts.
* Develop and manage departmental budgets, working closely with department heads.
* Conduct variance analysis and provide commentary to senior management.
* Monitor cash flow and oversee reconciliations, accounts payable, and receivable.
* Drive financial projects to improve efficiency, accuracy, and decision-making.
* Support year-end audit processes and liaise with external auditors.
* Provide strategic financial insights to support business growth.
* Maintain compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
Qualifications & Skills
* Proven experience as a Management Accountant or in a similar role.
* Proficiency in Sage 50 or QuickBooks (highly desirable).
* Strong knowledge of management reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
* Excellent Excel and analytical skills.
* High attention to detail and accuracy.
* Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain financial data to non-finance teams.
* Relevant accounting qualification (ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent) essential.
