About the role
We are seeking a passionate and knowledgeable History Teacher to join our dedicated humanities department. This is a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic educator to inspire students and bring the past to life through engaging and thought-provoking lessons.
Role Responsibilites:
* Plan and deliver high-quality History lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4.
* Develop schemes of work that align with the national curriculum and promote critical thinking and historical enquiry.
* Monitor and assess student progress, providing regular feedback to support academic development.
* Create an inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and engagement.
* Contribute to the wider school community through enrichment activities or trips.
* Work collaboratively with colleagues in the humanities faculty to ensure high standards and consistency in teaching.
* Maintain up-to-date subject knowledge and participate in professional development opportunities.
Role Requirements:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a degree in History or a related subject.
* Strong subject knowledge and a genuine passion for history and education.
* Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
* Ability to inspire and motivate students of all abilities.
* A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
* Willingness to contribute to extracurricular activities and whole-school events.
