Position An exciting opportunity for an experienced and motivated registered nurse to join the Dermatology Service as a Band 7 Skin Cancer Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) based at City Health Campus, Sheldon Block.
Key Responsibilities
Manage a specialist caseload of patients with skin cancer, delivering advanced assessment and clinical decision‑making.
Act as a Key Worker, ensuring continuity, coordination, and personalised care throughout the patient pathway.
Provide expert advice on symptom management, treatment pathways, and patient support.
Support timely progression through the cancer pathway, working closely with the multidisciplinary team (MDT).
Contribute to MDT preparation, coordination, and follow‑up of agreed care plans.
Deliver nurse‑led clinics and support outpatient activity where appropriate.
Provide education, support, and advice to patients, carers, and healthcare professionals.
Contribute to staff development through teaching and clinical support.
Participate in audit, research and quality improvement initiatives to enhance service delivery.
Support the development and implementation of evidence‑based practice within dermatology and cancer care.
Provide leadership and support to junior staff, including supervision where required.
Contribute to service development and innovation to improve patient outcomes and experience.
