Key Account Manager
The Key Account Manager is responsible for leading, growing, and retaining strategic key accounts, delivering profitable sales growth, and achieving agreed sales KPIs and account plan targets. You will own the country account strategy, shape long-term partnerships, and deliver a customer experience that differentiates us from competitors. Working cross‑functionally, you will manage complex tenders, drive innovation pipelines, and lead account teams to secure sustainable growth, loyalty, and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
* Deliver profitable sales growth by retaining incumbent business and winning new opportunities
* Lead and win country tenders, coordinating internal stakeholders across sales, finance, marketing, legal, and operations
* Identify and convert new opportunities within existing and new segments through value‑led propositions
* Own and manage the sales pipeline, innovation pipeline and execution of new wins
Key Account Strategy & P&L
* Develop and execute three‑year key account plans aligned to country and divisional strategy
* Own account performance, profitability, and P&L delivery, driving corrective actions as needed
* Align customer strategies with future needs through tailored, value‑creating solutions
Customer & Stakeholder Management
* Build and maintain senior‑level, cross‑functional relationships with key customers
* Act as the Voice of the Customer while balancing customer needs with operational capability
* Drive customer loyalty, satisfaction and long‑term partnerships
Tendering, Contracts & Governance
* Lead contract negotiations, renewals, and extensions
* Ensure accurate account documentation, pricing, and quotations
* Align tender strategies and ensure consistent execution
Brand & Leadership
* Act as a strong ambassador for the brand, positioning the business as a trusted expert
* Proven track record of driving sales growth and executing key account strategies at country level
* Strong commercial and financial acumen with excellent negotiation skills
* Ability to influence and deliver results in a complex, matrix organization
* Customer‑centric, resilient, and entrepreneurial mindset
* Strong stakeholder management, communication, and leadership skills
* Master’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or similar (desirable)
* Packaging industry experience preferred but not required
