About the Role: As a Building Surveyor/Graduate Building Surveyor focusing on sustainability and retrofitting existing buildings, you will join our forward-thinking team dedicated to environmental sustainability and energy efficiency. Key Responsibilities:
Sustainability and Retrofitting:
* Evaluate and enhance the sustainability performance of existing buildings.
* Design and manage retrofitting projects for improved energy efficiency and reduced environmental impact.
* Collaborate with various professionals to ensure sustainable practices in all projects.
Building Surveying:
* Conduct RICS Level 1, 2, and 3 building surveys, providing comprehensive assessments of building conditions.
* Perform Red Book valuations, ensuring compliance with the latest standards.
* Carry out fire risk assessments, identifying potential hazards and recommending preventive measures.
* Conduct thorough dilapidation surveys.
Project Management:
* Lead projects from inception to completion, ensuring efficiency and quality.
* Liaise with clients, contractors, and local authorities.
* Oversee project budgets and timelines.
Professional Development:
* Progress towards achieving MCIOB status.
* Pursue Assoc RICS qualification.
* Complete the APC for MRICS accreditation.
Qualifications and Skills:
* Bachelor's degree in Building Surveying or related construction field.
* Knowledge of sustainability, retrofitting, and surveying principles.
* Familiarity with RICS standards and building regulations.
* Strong communication, analytical, and project management skills.
