We have an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Operations Manager to join our Northampton Community Equipment Service Centre. This role supports the Service Centre Manager in overseeing daily activities, ensuring smooth, efficient, and compliant operations. The position involves leading warehouse and logistics functions with a focus on meeting KPIs and delivering quality service to users.

Millbrook Healthcare partners with the NHS to supply healthcare equipment, ranging from simple walking aids to complex beds and hoists, including minor home adaptations like handrails and grab rails to promote independence.


About the role:

Supporting the Service Centre Manager in operational and strategic change management within the contract. Main duties include:

* Colleague and team management
* Health and safety compliance
* Stock control
* Infection control
* Audit compliance
* Recruitment, upskilling, and development
* Fleet management


Candidate requirements:

* Proven experience in operations, logistics, or healthcare support
* Strong leadership and communication skills
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office and organizational skills
* Ability to work under pressure and solve problems
* Knowledge of stock control and Warehouse Management Systems
* Warehouse or fleet management experience is advantageous
* Experience in ISO9001 environments is desirable
* Full UK driving license
* GCSEs or equivalent, with NEBSS qualification or similar preferred
* Management, Health and Safety (IOSH), IT, or administrative qualifications beneficial
