Job Type: Full-time | Monday – Friday | Term-time only

Are you passionate about mental health support and eager to make a difference in young people’s lives? We’re looking for a Mental Health Support Worker to join our team in Sunderland This is an excellent opportunity for those with a background in psychology, mental health, or SEND/SEMH support.

Your Role as a Mental Health Support Worker:

1. Support KS3-4 students with mental health and emotional well-being.
2. Provide 1:1 support for students with SEND or SEMH needs.
3. Help implement personalized progress plans.
4. Work alongside teachers to create a positive learning environment.
5. Build meaningful relationships with students and staff.

Requirements:

A passion for mental health support (no prior experience required).


Willingness to obtain an enhanced DBS.

Strong communication skills and the ability to work with young people.


Based in Newcastle, North Tyneside or surrounding areas (Gateshead, Northumberland).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
