This hybrid role is based in either Glasgow or Dundee, with the requirement to work at least four days a week in the office. About the Role
As a Trainee Client Advisor, you will play an essential role in providing exceptional service to both new and existing clients. You will be responsible for supporting a range of commercial insurance products, managing client relationships, and ensuring all service standards are met. Whether you have previous experience in insurance or are entirely new to the field, Marsh Commercial provides a structured induction program and opportunities to pursue chartered insurance qualifications. Once you’ve completed your initial training, you’ll manage a dedicated portfolio of clients, handling renewals, invoicing, and preparing quotes. You’ll also identify opportunities for cross‑selling and upselling, ensuring clients receive the best possible coverage. Your ability to provide prompt and efficient service will be key to maintaining strong client relationships.
Key Responsibilities
You will be responsible for delivering exceptional client service across all aspects of account management, ensuring that client requirements are identified and fulfilled in line with Marsh Commercial’s high standards. You will handle multiple client queries efficiently, collaborate with insurer partners, and support your colleagues as needed. Through ongoing training, you will gain a deep understanding of major insurance classes and stay updated on new products and developments within the industry.
Qualifications and Skills
Applicants should ideally have at least one year of experience in insurance, whether in personal lines or commercial insurance. Strong communication, literacy, and numeracy skills are essential, along with proficiency in Microsoft Office and related software.
