Unqualified Teacher
Prospero Teaching is recruiting confident and enthusiastic Unqualified Teachers to support secondary schools in the Fareham area. This role involves stepping into the classroom in the teacher's absence, delivering pre‑prepared lesson materials, and ensuring pupils remain engaged and focused throughout the lesson.
You will take responsibility for leading classes, managing behaviour, and supporting students with their learning. This is an excellent opportunity for graduates, aspiring teachers, teaching assistants, tutors, youth workers, sports coaches, or anyone with experience working with young people who is looking to gain valuable classroom experience.
Work is available on a full‑time or flexible day‑to‑day basis, depending on your availability.
The Role:
Deliver pre‑planned lessons across a range of subjects
Lead classes independently and maintain classroom routines
Manage behaviour in line with school expectations
Support students with learning tasks and questions
Cover a variety of subjects across the timetable
Provide cover for both pre‑booked and short‑notice absences
Maintain a positive and structured learning environment
Follow safeguarding and school policies consistently
Ideal Candidate:
Experience working with young people (schools, tutoring, coaching, mentoring, etc.)
Confident leading a classroom and managing behaviour
Strong communication and organisational skills
Calm, adaptable, and professional approach
Comfortable working across different subjects
Graduates and aspiring teachers strongly encouraged to apply

Position: Unqualified Teacher
Location: Fareham
Start Date: ASAP
Working Pattern: Full‑time or day‑to‑day
Pay Rate: Up to £130 per day
Key Stages: KS3-KS4
Experience, Training & Safeguarding:
Experience working with young people essential
Behaviour‑management experience beneficial
Safeguarding training can be provided
