The Finance Director be responsible for leading the finance and procurement functions, providing strategic financial leadership, and driving sustainable growth across the business. This is a highly influential position, partnering closely with the leadership team to shape the future direction of the company. Key Responsibilities Provide strategic financial leadership, managing financial planning, forecasting, reporting, tax, treasury, and internal controls. Produce accurate and timely statutory accounts, management reports, budgets, and forecasts. Support growth initiatives including acquisitions, integrations, and long-term investment planning. Lead on budgeting and cash flow forecasting, providing insight and recommendations to senior management. Oversee financial strategies to maximise profitability, reduce costs, and ensure robust cash flow management. Drive process improvements and financial controls across the business. Lead, mentor, and develop the finance and procurement team. Oversee purchasing to ensure effective supplier management, accurate demand forecasting, and stock availability. Act as a key decision maker for procurement, financial risk, and business planning. Person Specification Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA). Strong technical finance skills with the ability to manage end-to-end financial processes. Proven experience in acquisitions, integrations, and strategic growth planning. Ideally have experience of the manufacturing sector Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and influencing skills with the ability to partner with stakeholders at all levels. Demonstrated people management and leadership experience. Highly motivated, proactive, and commercially astute.
