Role Overview
As Portfolio Marketing Manager, you will lead the marketing strategy and delivery across a portfolio of events including Independent Hotel Show London, Amsterdam and Munich, Surface Design Show and FIT Show.
You will be responsible for developing and executing integrated marketing campaigns that drive audience growth, exhibitor value and commercial performance. Working closely with the Portfolio Director and Marketing Director, you will use campaign data, audience insights and market intelligence to inform decision making, optimise campaign performance and maximise commercial outcomes while ensuring activity delivers against objectives, budgets and timelines.
You will oversee a team of five marketers, ensuring campaigns are delivered effectively across the full marketing mix. A key part of the role is analysing campaign performance, identifying opportunities for growth and using data-driven insights to continuously refine strategy and improve ROI.
You will also play an important role in maintaining strong relationships with internal teams, external partners, media partners and suppliers to ensure marketing activity supports the wider goals of the events and Montgomery Group.
About You
The ideal candidate is a collaborative and commercially minded marketer with strong experience delivering integrated campaigns, ideally within events or similar environments. You are highly organised, comfortable managing multiple projects, and confident taking a data driven approach to marketing decisions using campaign performance and audience insights.
You combine creativity with a structured, analytical approach and enjoy testing new ideas to improve performance and engagement. You have experience managing stakeholders and supporting a team to deliver high quality campaigns.

Role Requirements
* Strong event marketing experience delivering multifaceted campaigns across the full marketing mix.
* Ability to develop and implement strategic marketing plans aligned with event growth and commercial objectives.
* Strong analytical mindset with experience using marketing performance data to inform strategy and optimise campaigns.
* Experience analysing campaign metrics including website performance, email engagement, digital acquisition channels and registration data to identify audience insights and growth opportunities.
* Good understanding of digital marketing channels including SEO, PPC, paid social and digital acquisition strategies.
* Experience using digital platforms to build and manage email campaigns and website pages.
* Strong copywriting skills with a keen eye for detail.
* Ability to manage multiple projects and campaigns across different stages of the event cycle.
* Excellent communication skills and confidence presenting campaign performance and insights to senior stakeholders.
* Experience managing external stakeholders and suppliers, and working collaboratively with internal teams.
* Experience supporting or managing marketing team members and contributing to a high performing team environment.
* Performance driven with a strong focus on achieving commercial and growth targets.
* Sociable and confident attending industry networking events.
* A proactive individual who is comfortable sharing ideas, contributing to strategic discussions and exploring new marketing approaches.
Key Responsibilities
* Event Marketing
Plan, coordinate and deliver integrated marketing campaigns across a portfolio of events. Ensure activity aligns with strategic objectives, is delivered on time and within budget, and drives audience growth and commercial success.
* Visitor Campaigns
Lead the development and delivery of visitor marketing campaigns designed to attract high quality audiences. Build campaign plans informed by audience personas, historical performance data and growth targets, and continuously refine activity to improve acquisition and engagement.
* Commercial Marketing
Develop and execute commercial marketing plans that support exhibitor acquisition and sales enquiries. Work closely with the sales team to align marketing activity with commercial objectives and optimise lead generation and conversion.
* Reporting and Analysis
Track and analyse campaign performance across channels using marketing, website and registration data to support data-driven decision making and continuous campaign optimisation. Identify trends, generate insights and present clear recommendations to improve future campaign performance.
* Audience and Data Strategy
Work with internal digital, data and registration teams to deepen understanding of audience behaviour across the portfolio. Use audience insights and segmentation to improve targeting, messaging and long term audience growth, identifying opportunities to optimise campaign performance.
* Team Management
Manage and support a team of junior marketers, providing coaching and guidance to ensure campaigns are delivered effectively and to support professional development.
* Stakeholder Management
Work closely with the Portfolio Director and Marketing Director to align marketing strategy with event objectives. Manage relationships with internal stakeholders and external suppliers including designers, digital agencies, website providers and registration partners.
* Media Partnerships
Identify and manage media partnerships that extend marketing reach, strengthen brand visibility and drive registrations across the portfolio.
* Budget Management
Manage marketing budgets across the portfolio, ensuring spend is effectively allocated and delivers strong return on investment.
* Training and Development
Undertake relevant training and development to remain up to date with marketing best practice, technologies and industry trends.

Core hours are 9-5pm but flexibility outside these hours will be required to suit the needs of the business.
