We are seeking an exceptional secondary school teacher to join our team at Cardiff Montessori High. Become part of a new and exciting educational provision.
About the role
Responsible for teaching Year 8, 9, 10 Key stage 3 and GCSE Maths. Each year group will receive four x 1hr lessons a week. Each year group is made up of 10 or less students. Year 7's have 1 hour a week of teaching.
The timetable is currently set as 9am to 12pm three days a week and 9-1pm one day a week (currently Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday)= 13 hours. There may be flexibility with timings and hours. An addition 10% of time is allocated to PPA bringing the total work hours to 14.2 hours a week.
Salary
The salary is based on a full time equivalent salary of £42,339.37 which pro-rata equates to £16,032.5 per annum for working 13.2 hours a week.
About Cardiff Montessori High School
Cardiff Montessori High is made up of 40 students- approximately 10 students per year group. Year
8, 9, 10 and 11 all form the adolescent community. Year 7 students also attend Cardiff Montessori
High on occasion but will have the majority of their lessons in the upper elementary class (they are
referred to as upper elementary seniors). In Sept 2025 we will only have Year 7-10 students.
