We are excited to share our work experience placements that will provide a valuable insight into what it is like to work in a professional environment. Alliance Homes has a wonderful history of providing informative and fun work experience placements. Option 1 – Electrical Spend five wonderful days out with our Electrical team where you will learn all about the Electrical world and supporting our operatives in our customers’ homes. Option 2 - Housing Our Housing team is at the heart of what Alliance do - creating a place our customers are proud to call home. During your week you will spend time with our Lettings, Income and Tenancy teams visiting our properties to see what goes in to supporting our customers before and during their tenancy. Option 3 - Home Repairs Service Spend five superb days out with our Repairs and Empty Homes teams where you will get involved in resolving repairs and maintenance concerns in our customers’ homes. Option 4 – Business Support You will get a real free for our ‘back-office’ teams such as Human Resources (HR), who lead on recruitment, payroll, engagement and employee relations. You will also meet our Learning & Organisational Development (L&OD) team, who organise training for all colleagues. Take a tour with our Development Team, who are involved in building our new homes. With our Home Ownership and Rents Team you get a chance to learn more about rent and accounting systems. Finally, our Communications team, who gather news and stories from across the organisation to share with the world the great work Alliance do. Option 5 – Community Services In this work experience week, you will have a mix of three teams to find out how they work and what they do. You have Community Services, who provide housing related support interventions to people with a wide variety of support needs, Community Investment, who are involved in building on our community sense of togetherness, and our Carers Support team, who support our Adult and Child Carers within the community. Each placement has been designed to help the student gain meaningful knowledge and experience in teams that have a variety of career paths.
