Position Summary
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Azure Solutions Architect / Cloud Engineer with a strong background in Microsoft Azure architecture, design, and implementation. This role is primarily responsible for leading the design and delivery of scalable, secure, and efficient cloud-based solutions on Azure. The ideal candidate will have hands-on consulting experience in enterprise environments and deep expertise in cloud infrastructure, migration strategies, and cloud-native application deployment. While the primary focus is Azure cloud architecture and project delivery, this position may also require providing system administration and support internal IT initiatives on an as-needed basis, helping to maintain operational stability.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: Cloud Architecture & Project Delivery
* Design and deliver Azure-based solutions with a focus on scalability, security, performance, and operational efficiency.
* Lead Azure implementations and provide technical guidance throughout the solution lifecycle.
* Develop cloud migration strategies, define roadmaps, and provide accurate implementation estimates.
* Utilize tools such as Terraform, ARM templates, and Azure Resource Manager for efficient infrastructure provisioning.
* Implement Azure governance controls, cost management practices, and role-based access (RBAC).
* Architect and deploy cloud-native applications using Azure services such as App Service Plans, Azure Functions, AKS, Logic Apps, Event Grid, API Management, and more.
* Support enterprise integration using technologies such as BizTalk, Azure API Management, and Service Bus.
* Implement and manage identity and access solutions with Azure Active Directory, OAuth, and MFA.
* Set up and optimize monitoring, diagnostics, and alerting for Azure-hosted environments.
* Collaborate with stakeholders to define technical requirements and translate them into cloud solutions.
* Provide architectural documentation, solution blueprints, and technical specifications.
* Maintain compliance with cloud security standards and regulatory requirements.
* Conduct internal knowledge-sharing sessions and workshops to upskill IT team members on Azure architecture, governance, and best practices.
SECONDARY RESPONSIBILITIES: Project Implementation and Support
* Assist with different projects IT is involved in like ERMS, WMS systems, SharePoint intranet development etc.
* Help develop and maintain company intranet
* Support development of internal tools
* Participate in and work with other departments on Process improvement projects
Documentation & Compliance
* Create and update Work Instructions (WIs) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
* Maintain accurate system documentation and user guides
* Support audit activities and compliance reporting
* Train users on new systems and applications
* Create user documentation and training materials
Preferred Qualifications
· Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in Microsoft Azure architecture, design, and delivery.
· Consulting experience with a focus on enterprise-scale Azure implementations.
· In-depth knowledge of Azure infrastructure, networking, storage, and DevOps practices.
· Experience with Azure PaaS services, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud-native development.
· Proficiency in tools and services such as:
· ARM Templates, Azure Resource Manager, Virtual Machines, Virtual Networks
· Azure Blob Storage, Azure Automation, AAD, Site Recovery
· App Services, Key Vault, SQL Azure, AKS, Logic Apps, Service Bus, Event Grid
· Knowledge of hybrid cloud strategies, cloud security best practices, and governance.
· Experience in Azure authentication/authorization, including claims-based identity standards (SAML, OAuth, OIDC).
· Familiarity with scripting/programming: PowerShell, Bash, C#, Python, Java, JavaScript
· Knowledge and experience implementing cybersecurity frameworks and best practices is an added advantage.
· Strong problem-solving abilities and a proven ability to troubleshoot complex cloud issues.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate across teams and explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
· Experience with Azure monitoring and diagnostics for web applications.
· Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert or equivalent certifications (preferred).
· Experience with document management systems
· ITIL certification or similar ITSM credentials
· Experience in regulated industries (pharmaceutical, healthcare, research) and Familiarity with 21 CFR Part 11 and EU GMP Annex 11 regulations
· Web development skills (HTML, CSS, basic programming)
· Strong knowledge of Windows Server environments
· Disaster recovery and business continuity planning experience
· Basic knowledge of Computer system validation
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
· Bachelors degree or Technical Certifications in IT / IS with relevant equivalent work experience.
· Experience in a similar role in an international and distributed IT environment.

· Experience working with Windows10 and 11, Office365, Azure, Intune, MS Purview, Active Directory, Group Policies, SQL.

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position. Good vision, close attention to detail is required. While performing the duties of this job, the employee maybe exposed to the warehouse and operations (packaging) environment including occasional exposure to elements such as odour, noise, dust, heat, cold or chemicals. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and training will be provided.
