The primary responsibility of the post holder will be to provide direct leadership and support to the MDT Co-ordinators and 2WW Team, including the organisation and management of staff, ensuring cover arrangements are in place, and ensuring that multidisciplinary teams (MDTs) and the 2WW Team are operated to a consistently high standard. The post holder will also be responsible for managing national speciality audits.
Additionally, the post holder will support the delivery of both national and local targets and initiatives, managing and coordinating the work of the MDT Co-ordinators and 2WW Team, and providing management support to the Lead Cancer Manager and Assistant Cancer Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Directly line manage booking team, Patient Trackers, and MDT Co-ordinators.
2. Liaise with the Cancer Management Team, highlighting any issues with patient pathways.
3. Manage staff rotas to ensure coverage across all tumour sites during annual leave.
4. Monitor Patient Tracking Lists, working with co-ordinators and trackers to ensure patients progress through their pathways in a timely manner, working towards best practice pathways.
