Band 5 Theatre Practitioner (Trauma & Orthopaedic Theatres)
We have full-time opportunities for nurses, ODPs, and anaesthetic nurses to join our Trauma and Orthopaedic theatres at the Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust Hospital.
We are seeking motivated individuals who aspire to learn and develop. Theatre experience is desirable but not essential, as specific training will be provided.
You should demonstrate high standards of practice and a passion for excellent patient care. We offer ongoing professional, academic support, and career development opportunities.
We need innovative and enthusiastic individuals with good clinical, decision-making, and communication skills.
The successful candidate must be able to translate the trust's vision of high-quality care and excellent patient experience into action.
Our department is dynamic, covering both trauma and elective orthopaedic surgery.
This position offers an exciting opportunity to practice in surgical scrub and/or anaesthetics.
Main duties of the job
We are looking for enthusiastic and motivated Theatre Practitioners eager to learn and develop. Full support and training will be provided, regardless of specific specialty experience.
Successful candidates will uphold high standards of practice, with excellent communication, clinical, and decision-making skills. You should be able to translate the trust's vision into tangible actions.

Applications are invited from NMC-registered nurses or HCPC-registered Operating Department Practitioners (ODP).

Job responsibilities
To contribute to the effective daily operation of the Trust's theatres by providing skilled assistance during administration, maintenance, and termination of general, regional, or local anaesthetics, undertaking scrubbing and circulating duties, and providing skilled care in recovery.
