University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire is seeking to recruit a band 2 Cardiographer to work as part of the team. You will join a well‑respected and established multi‑disciplinary team across multiple sites including St Cross Hospital, Rugby and the City of Coventry Diagnostic Centre which is currently being developed.
You will be working in a busy diagnostic department; we are looking for enthusiastic and hardworking individuals. The post will offer training and development opportunities covering a wide range of diagnostic testing, and you will be well supported by a friendly team with opportunities to develop the service in which you work.
We are a large teaching hospital and are currently supporting the career development of Cardiac Physiology students, Trainee Scientific Practitioners and Echocardiography Trainee Practitioners.
Experience working within the NHS or healthcare environment would be advantageous.

Responsibilities
* Take a lead role within the team responsible for the recording of Electrocardiograms (ECG's) in the hospital for outpatients and inpatients, attach ambulatory monitors (ECG & BP) and handle organisational duties associated with these procedures.
* Support Cardiac Physiology students, junior cardiographers and other staff with day‑to‑day duties such as preparing patients for tests within the department.
* Supervise and teach students and other staff members within the trust on relevant tests, in keeping with your skill set.
* Deliver the best possible care to patients, with a real interest in cardiology and working with members of the public.
* Deal with patient queries in person and on the phone, demonstrating good communication and interpersonal skills.
* Hold the SCST Award in Electrocardiography or be working towards the Certificate in Electrocardiography examination in the near future.
* Support research, educational development and attendance at local and national meetings as part of the teaching hospital environment.
