About the Role
As an Assistant Manager at Boots Opticians, you will lead and inspire your team to deliver an exemplary customer journey. You will partner with the Store Manager to create and deliver the commercial plan to grow the business. Working across the store, you’ll handle customer service, store operations, and clinical activities such as patient pre‑screening, dispensing, and accuracy checks.
You will manage a diverse team, support their development, and handle management tasks including creating rotas, conducting return‑to‑work reviews, and performance management. Boots provides industry‑leading training programmes, such as the ‘Step into Optics’ and leadership training, to help you develop a career at Boots Opticians.
Essential Skills and Experience
* GOC Registered
* Experience in a customer‑facing role
* Desire to learn and grow
* Experience leading or coaching a team
Desirable Skills
* Experience working in a clinical environment
Shift Requirements
This is a permanent role. You must be able to commit to the advertised hours. Flexible to work a variety of shift patterns throughout the week, including evening and weekend shifts. Candidates must be over 18 years old.
