The purpose of this role is to help the Health, Safety and Environmental Department in carrying out duties which ensure compliance with legislation and conformity to recognised standards. The HSE internship is a varied one, involving contact with every part of the business, and no day is the same in such a busy manufacturing environment. You will have a chance to learn about manufacturing, logistics, research and development, facilities management and service. Some of the department functions include conducting audits and inspections, data collection, assisting with investigations and providing help and advice for a wide variety of questions across the site. In this role, you will be responsible for: Developing safety and environmental initiatives with the HSE Officer and other working groups. Conducting HSE inspections and internal audits. Ensuring occupational health surveillance is carried out. Collating accident data and maintaining electronic and paper HSE records. Communicating key HSE information to management and employees.
