About the Role:
We are looking for a vigilant and responsible Lifeguard to join our team at Piran Meadows Holiday Park, one of Darwin Escapes' beautiful holiday destinations.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about safety, enjoys working in a guest-focused environment and takes pride in maintaining a safe and enjoyable swimming experience for all visitors. As a Lifeguard, you will play a key role in supervising the pool area, responding to incidents and ensuring all health & safety procedures are followed at all times.
This is a hands-on role, ideal for someone who is attentive, calm under pressure and confident in enforcing safety rules while maintaining a friendly and approachable manner.
Qualified lifeguards are preferred; however, we are willing to fund the National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ) for the right candidate.
This is a fixed term, full-time position working variable days, including weekends and bank holidays.

What We're Looking For:
* A valid National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ) or equivalent is preferred
* Willingness to complete lifeguard training (funded for the right candidate)
* Previous experience in a similar role is desirable
* Strong awareness of health & safety procedures
* Ability to remain calm and act quickly in emergency situations
* A positive attitude and strong team player
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Good attention to detail and a proactive approach
* A commitment to delivering a safe and enjoyable guest experience

About The Role
Key Responsibilities:
* Supervise the swimming pool and surrounding areas to ensure guest safety at all times
* Respond quickly and effectively to any incidents or emergencies
* Enforce pool rules and safety procedures in a professional and friendly manner
* Carry out regular safety checks of the pool and equipment
* Maintain high standards of cleanliness and presentation in the pool area
* Assist with pool testing and ensure water quality standards are met
* Provide first aid where required
* Deliver excellent customer service and assist guests with any queries
* Work closely with the leisure team to ensure a safe and enjoyable environment
Additional Information:
This is a fixed term role and will require flexibility to work evenings, weekends and bank holidays in line with business needs.
This role is based within a poolside environment and will involve standing for extended periods. The role may also involve lifting or moving equipment and responding physically in emergency situations where required.
