Key Duties/Responsibilities: Ensure that all security policies are complied with and enforced across the site in line with the site safety and security culture Ensure staff searches, access control and physical security measures are fully in place and monitored effectively Ensure site is protected against unauthorised access and prevent the appropriation of company assets Operation of high-tech security equipment in line with current policies/procedures Monitoring and analysing CCTV Footage in line with current policies/procedures Maintain an excellent level of professionalism and be always courteous Overseeing management of visitor/contractor/staff processes ensuring all are booked in/out in line with policies/procedures Oversee gatehouse processes ensuring supplier vehicles are booked in/out, and checking all vehicles are security sealed on arrival and departure Complete interviews/investigations along with incident reports and witness statements where required Manage day-to-day tasks within the security team ensuring best practise and consistency Ensure department KPI’s are met and to a suitable standard. Manage breaches of site security policy Complete any ad hoc tasks as directed by the Security Manager. Provide continuous training to the team allowing room for development of skills & attributes Ensure security equipment is checked and in line with current policies/procedures Complete any ad-hoc tasks within the current levels of responsibilities as requested by the Distribution Security Manager and any other reasonable requests in line with the business needs Skills/Experience/Knowledge needed: A People, safety, security mindset is essential, along with a ‘can-do’ attitude to motivate and inspire the security team Investigation knowledge along with previous supervisor experience Excellent communication with others both written and oral Willingness to form strong relationships within a team is essential SIA Licensing is advantageous however not essential, as full training is provided Previous security/risk background preferable but not essential Excellent progression opportunities Must be proficient with Microsoft packages such as emails, excel and word
