Job Overview
Workshop Shift Supervisor – Croydon Workshop (Permanent contract). Salary: £50,988 per annum. Working hours: 39.5 hours per week on a rotating shift pattern (week 1: 06:00 - 14:30, week 2: 10:30 - 19:00). One Saturday in three required (weekday off). Extra Saturday supplement: £53.66 per shift.

Key Responsibilities
* Lead operations across a shift in line with production planning and control requirements.
* Deliver weekly team meetings, shift huddles and support remedial approach to conduct issues while ensuring technicians' wellbeing.
* Perform inspections, diagnostics, maintenance and repair procedures on vehicles, trailers and mechanical equipment.
* Use personal toolkit for routine maintenance and light/heavy goods vehicle repairs.
* Operate specialist tooling and shared equipment in a fully equipped workshop.
* Maintain effective stock control processes, ensuring accurate and timely completion of work orders and documentation to meet business and legal requirements.
Qualifications and Experience
* Experienced leader who has managed a team of vehicle technicians with strong H&S knowledge and effective communication skills.
* Fully qualified as an advanced mechanic (IMI Level 3 in Light or Heavy Vehicle or equivalent) with a personal toolkit for standard repairs.
* Proven vehicle technician experience on a wide range of vehicles, including LCV and HGV.
* Valid UK manual driving licence, preferably with HGV and trailer experience.
* High working standards and pride in quality work.
* Flexible to service demands and willing to support the team where necessary.
