Role Overview
The Oxford University Hospitals digital programme is a key enabler of the Trusts strategic objectives. The Senior Projects Manager will be responsible for the successful delivery of large, complex projects agreed through the annual planning process, working with resources managed through the Programme Management Group. The post holder will also provide line or matrix management to a small team within the digital programme and demonstrate the capability to lead, coordinate, and support multidisciplinary teams in a complex, digitally enabled healthcare environment.
As Senior Digital Projects Manager you will lead the delivery of organisation-wide digital programmes, driving robust governance and PMO standards, leading multidisciplinary project teams, and working closely with executive leaders, clinical and operational stakeholders, and external suppliers. You will analyse and resolve highly complex digital and business challenges where information is incomplete or conflicting, present clear, evidence‑based options to support decision making, and play a key role in stakeholder engagement, change adoption, and benefits realisation to embed digital solutions across the organisation.
The postholder will have access to vulnerable people in the course of normal duties and will therefore require a Disclosure to the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, as required by the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (England and Wales) Order 2020.
