Job Purpose To provide safe, reliable, and respectful non-care domestic support to adults aged 55 and residents in supported accommodation, including prompting (not administering) medication. The role supports individuals to maintain independence, wellbeing, and daily routines within their own home or supported living environment. This is not a personal care role and does not involve medication administration. Key Responsibilities Medication Prompting (Non-Regulated Activity) • Prompt residents to take their prescribed medication at the correct time. • Offer verbal reminders only — no handling, administering, or preparing medication. • Record prompts in line with Alphapark’s Medication Prompting Policy. • Report missed doses, concerns, or changes in presentation to management. • Maintain clear boundaries between prompting and administering. Domestic & Practical Support • Assist with general household tasks such as cleaning, tidying, and light domestic duties. • Support with meal preparation and light cooking. • Assist with shopping tasks, including accompanying individuals or completing shopping on their behalf. • Support with laundry, ironing, and basic household organisation. • Maintain a safe, clean, and comfortable home environment. Safeguarding & Professional Conduct • Recognise and report safeguarding concerns in line with policy. • Maintain professional boundaries at all times. • Promote dignity, respect, and independence. • Follow Alphapark’s policies, procedures, and reporting requirements. Record Keeping & Communication • Complete daily notes, incident reports, and medication-prompting logs accurately. • Communicate effectively with residents, colleagues, and management. • Report health, safety, or wellbeing concerns promptly.
