Main purpose of job:

Responsible for the running of homecare and domiciliary services (within a branch) ensuring that the care provided meets all regulatory and statutory requirements. The key responsibilities are;

Quality Care Provision: You'll ensure that the care provided meets all regulatory and statutory requirements. This includes maintaining high standards of care for clients.

* People Management: Effective management and development of the team. Setting an example of person-centred care, emphasising empathy and compassion.
* Financial Accountability: You'll be accountable for financial and budgetary performance, monitoring income and expenditure against financial targets.
* External Relationships: Building and managing external relationships and partnerships ensuring Lillie-Rose grows in revenue and reputation, becoming the preferred choice for care

Main Duties

Quality Care Provision;

o Establish a process to observe and document the provision of care provided by the service against regulatory requirements and the standards that Lillie-Rose strives to achieve. Devise plans to enhance and improve and report findings and recommendations to the Director/s.

o Manage complaints and issues in line with the Company's procedures, taking lessons learned and create plans to address gaps in service or care.

o Report service activity against KPIs and targets in line with the Company's reporting procedures

o Seek feedback from clients and families of clients to benchmark satisfaction levels and establish ways for continuous improvement in the delivery of the service.

People Management

o Lead on the recruitment and selection of qualified, experienced care support staff, in line with safer recruitment practices, driving recruitment campaigns. Attend recruitment fairs and events to promote Lillie-Rose work opportunities.

o Overseeing the on-boarding and induction process.

o Identify training need and devise training plans.

o Complete 1:1 supervisions and appraisals.

o Manage day to day employee issues including attendance, absence, disputes, wellbeing, seeking legal advice where appropriate and report to the Directors on matters of concern.

Financial Accountability

o Monitor and report on the financial performance of the service, provide recommendations for areas that are under achieving to the Director/s.

o Support the Directors on the setting of budgets and targets, contributing to the analysis of data and information and inputting suggestions to business operational plans/ business planning cycle.

External Relationships

o Develop and maintain relationships with Commissioners and partner agencies, attending meetings on behalf of Lillie-Rose.

Positively promote the care service, attending events and meetings and raising awareness of the service within the communities Lillie-Rose serves

Direct Reports

A team of Managers, supervisors/team leaders and Office Administrator

Qualifications

GCSEs at grade A – C in English Language and Mathematics (or equivalent).

QCF Level 5 in Care Registered Managers Award or equivalent

Relevant experience

Minimum 2 experience as a Registered Manager

Minimum of 4 years in care

Aptitude, skills and abilities

Operational Management skills in a domiciliary setting

Financial monitoring and control

People Management skills, able to train, guide, develop and motivate a team of Care staff

Business mindset, able to recognise and respond with the foresight of the company and its objectives

Ability to build and maintain effective relationships, internally and externally

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Able to work with conflicting deadlines

Able to solve problems effectively and efficiently, and in a timely manner

Personal qualities

Ø Reliability

Ø Good listening skills

Ø Able to solve problems

Ø Good eye for detail

Ø Ability to manage time effectively

Ø Full UK Driving license
