Hours: Monday-Friday, 09:00-15:00
Contract: Long-term
About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and supportive Year 4 Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Morecambe. This is a long‑term position providing one-to-one support for a pupil, using a team-based approach both inside and outside the classroom.
The ideal candidate will be patient, proactive, and confident in helping children engage with learning, manage routines, and develop independence.
Responsibilities
Provide consistent one-to-one support for a Year 4 pupil
Work collaboratively with the class teacher and wider support team
Assist with learning activities, behaviour support, and engagement
Support the pupil during classroom lessons, small-group tasks, and outdoor activities
Help create an inclusive, safe, and positive learning environment
Requirements
Experience working with primary-aged children
Strong communication and teamwork skills
A caring, resilient, and reliable approach
DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
