Autism Specialist Teaching Assistant
Salary/Rate: £92 per day
Exclusive Education are looking to appoint an SEN Teaching Assistant to work in EYFS at a school in with pupils who have Autism. This SEN Teaching Assistant role is for 5 days per week and is to start asap.
You will be working with an experienced team of education specialists whose sole focus is on the Special Educational Needs sector.
Responsibilities
* Support pupils with Autism in EYFS, implementing strategies to assist learning and development
* Assist class teachers with daily activities, behaviour management, and facilitating inclusive practice
Qualifications
* Hold a relevant teaching assistant qualification (e.g. NCFE, CACHE or NVQ Level 1, 2 or 3) (desirable)
* Eligibility to work in the UK or be a UK resident
* Have previous experience of working with children (preferably within the last 2 years)
* Excellent knowledge of the full curriculum and assessment frameworks
* Previous EYFS, KS1 experience
* Experience working with pupils with Special Educational Needs
* Two references working with children
* Hold a current DBS that is registered with the Update Service or be willing to apply for a new one
Desirable Training
* Understanding and training in PECs, Teach or Team Teach
