We are currently seeking a committed SEN Teaching Assistant to support Key Stage 3 pupils within a welcoming secondary school in Redditch. This is a full-time, long-term position with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate. You will be working closely with students who require additional support to access learning, helping them to engage with the curriculum and build confidence both inside and outside the classroom. About the Role: As a Teaching Assistant, you will support students aged 11–14 with a range of special educational needs, including Autism, Challenging Behaviour. You will work under the guidance of experienced teaching and SEN staff, providing 1:1 or small group support to ensure every learner has the opportunity to thrive. Key Responsibilities: • Provide 1:1 and small group support to KS3 pupils with SEN • Support students in class and during structured interventions • Help manage behaviour and promote positive engagement • Assist with the development of students’ academic, social and emotional skills • Work alongside teachers, SENCOs, and support staff to deliver tailored support • Maintain a safe, inclusive and supportive environment for all students Requirements: • Experience supporting young people with SEN (in any setting) • Previous experience in education, care, youth work or similar roles is welcome • A patient, consistent and flexible approach to working with young people • Strong communication and interpersonal skills • A valid DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one) If you’re passionate about supporting young people and ready to make a positive impact in a secondary school setting, Apply Now to find out more.
