CNC Setter/Operator (HAAS Machines)

Key Responsibilities
* Set up, adjust, and operate CNC milling machines-specifically HAAS equipment.
* Program and operate CNC machinery using CAD/CAM and CNC programming techniques (experience beneficial).
* Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and GD&T specifications.
* Perform tool changes, adjustments, and calibration to ensure optimal machine performance.
* Conduct routine inspections using precision measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
* Troubleshoot mechanical, tooling, or process issues to minimise downtime.
* Carry out preventative maintenance and report any machine performance concerns.
* Safely handle materials, including the use of forklifts or warehouse handling tools.
* Support quality control by verifying parts, tolerances, and dimensions throughout the production cycle.
* Document setup procedures and maintain accurate production records.

Qualifications & Experience
* Must have proven experience setting and operating HAAS CNC machines.
* Knowledge of CNC programming, milling, turning, stamping, welding, or fabrication processes.
* Familiarity with Fanuc controls, PLCs, and CAD platforms (e.g., SolidWorks or similar).
* Strong understanding of GD&T and the ability to interpret technical drawings accurately.
* Experience using precision measuring devices such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges.
* Previous experience working in a manufacturing or factory environment is highly desirable.
* Exposure to packaging or assembly line environments is beneficial.
* Strong mechanical aptitude with excellent problem‑solving skills.
* Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to production standards.
* Effective communication skills with the ability to collaborate across departments.
