Role Overview
We are looking for an enthusiastic HGV Concrete Relief Driver to join our team. The role involves providing holiday, sickness, and training cover for drivers in the Lincolnshire area. A van will be provided for site-to-site travel (business use only). This position is ideal for someone who enjoys variety, has a passion for driving, and aims to set a positive example. You will be key in maintaining our reputation for efficiency, safety, and quality.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver concrete and mortar safely and efficiently.
* Build positive relationships with the internal Distribution Team and customers.
* Ensure all deliveries comply with legal, health, safety, and environmental standards.
* Collaborate with the Transport Manager to optimize vehicle downtime, schedules, and routes.
* Maintain flexibility in working hours, including occasional nights and weekends.
Skills, Knowledge & Experience
The ideal candidate will be proactive, versatile, and energetic, with the ability to anticipate and solve problems. You should have experience in HGV driving, a valid class C license, and a current driver CPC. Knowledge of the local area and experience in concrete delivery are desirable. Flexibility in working hours and a positive attitude are essential. A genuine interest in the construction materials industry and a commitment to health, safety, and environmental standards are also important.
