We're a leading manufacturer of convenience food in the UK with a purpose to make everyday taste better.
We are a vibrant, fast-paced food manufacturer employing around 13,600 colleagues across 16 manufacturing units and 17 distribution depots nationwide. We supply a range of products including sandwiches, soups, sushi, cooking sauces, pickles, and ready meals to all UK food retailers, generating revenues of £1.9bn in FY23.
Our extensive distribution network with 17 depots enables over 10,400 daily deliveries of chilled and frozen produce, including third-party goods.
At Park Royal, our team of approximately 1,150 colleagues produces sandwiches, wraps, and platters for major UK retailers such as Sainsbury's, Waitrose, Morrisons, Co-op, Spar, Wilko, Sutherland's, Iceland, and Poundland.
What You'll Be Doing
HYBRID ROLE
1. Set up approval for external specifications and relevant technical information according to customer requirements.
2. Review artwork copies, ensuring compliance with updated customer policies and regulatory changes impacting pack information and labelling.
3. Document procedures to ensure internal and customer compliance, adopting relevant process development practices.
4. Review raw material specifications to develop high-standard specifications for improved compliance.
5. Validate specifications and processes to identify efficiencies and scope for consolidation through continuous improvement.
6. Operate in accordance with Health, Safety, and Environment policies to maintain a safe working environment.
What we're looking for
We are recognized in the Gender Equity Measure Top 100 for our commitment to gender equality.
* Ideally educated to HND level or equivalent professional qualification.
* Holders of Level 2 Food Hygiene and Level 2 Health & Safety certifications.
* Experience with computers and web-based customer specification systems.
* Knowledge and experience in writing specifications for food retail environments.
* Understanding of legal labelling legislation and its application.
* Experience with various retailer web-based systems.
