Support Workers Wanted for a Solo Children's Home in Clacton
Sevello Children's Homes are recruiting Support Workers for their solo children's home in Clacton-on-Sea.
This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a small, dedicated team supporting one young person aged 11–17. Many of the children we care for have a diagnosis such as Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD), ADHD, or Autism, and require patient, consistent, and nurturing support to thrive.
The Role
As a Support Worker, you will play a vital part in creating a safe, stable, and positive environment. You'll work closely with the young person to help them build confidence, independence, and essential life skills, while also being a reliable role model they can depend on.
Salary:
* Qualified: £30,764 per year plus £50 per sleep-in shift
* Unqualified: £28,157 per year plus £50 per sleep-in shift
Shift Pattern: 1 on, 2 off – great for work-life balance
Shift Times: 07:30 – 22:30 (with sleep-ins as required)
Annual Leave: 240 hours (30 days)
Location: Clacton-on-Sea
Responsibilities
* Provide consistent care and emotional support to one young person
* Support with daily routines, education, and activities
* Build positive relationships and act as a role model
* Encourage independence and help develop life skills
* Work as part of a small, supportive team to create a nurturing environment
* Follow care plans, safeguarding, and behavioural strategies to ensure the highest standards of care
What We're Looking For
* Passion for working with young people and making a difference in their lives
* Resilience, patience, and the ability to stay calm in challenging situations
* A positive, proactive, and caring approach
* Full UK driving licence (essential)
* Experience of supporting young people with EBD, ADHD, or Autism (desirable but not essential)
* Level 3 Diploma in Children and Young People Workforce (desirable but not essential)
* Willingness to complete Level 3 qualification through our Training Academy if not already achieved
