We have an exciting opportunity for a Lead Resuscitation Officer, on a 12 month fixed term contract/secondment.

Main duties of the job
To lead, facilitate and deliver clinical and resuscitation skills training across the Trust using a national competency based approach to a multidisciplinary Trust wide audience. To attend resuscitation events whenever possible and perform as a team member, team leader or act in an expert advisory capacity
To lead on the development, monitoring and reviewing of relevant policies, procedures and governance arrangements in relation to resuscitation and related matters. The post holder will take responsibility for the audit processes within the Resuscitation Service, involving collection, analysis and reporting of all aspects of resuscitation and presentation of this information both locally and nationally.

Education and Qualifications
Essential
11. Registered professional: Nurse, Midwife, Allied Healthcare Professional or Healthcare Scientist
12. Degree or equivalent level experience
13. Advanced resuscitation course instructor (ALS, EPALS/APLS, NLS)
14. Teaching/training qualification to a minimum of Diploma level or equivalent (PGCE) or equivalent level experience
Desirable
15. Advanced resuscitation course (ALS, EPALS/APLS, NLS) Director
16. Generic Instructor Course - Instructor/Director
17. Mentorship qualification such as the mentorship preparation pathway or equivalent

18. Demonstrable significant post registration experience in relevant clinical practice
19. Evidence of continuing professional development
20. Evidence of resuscitation skills teaching experience within healthcare setting

21. Experience of designing training that employs a competency based approach to assessment
